  Southwold Tourist Information

Southwold (On The Cheap)

27/6/2018

Southwold is often cited as being expensive, well that's not necessarily wrong depending on what you do, but there are still lots of Things To Do in Southwold suitable for smaller budgets including £10 or less, £5 or less and even more things to do for FREE!
Read on and plan a fun-filled day out (you might still have change for an ice-cream and a portion of chips!).
Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum
Craftco
Southwold Electric Picture Palace
N&J Heavy Horses Carriage Rides
FREE £0
Southwold Beach
Awarded the coveted Blue Flag status again for 2018 at the pier beach. Great for kites, picnics, ball games, letting off steam, building sand castles, beach combing, swimming and other sports. Dogs are welcome past Gun Hill Teas, but please remember dogs must be under control at all times and please clean up after your dog. Barbeques are only allowed on the beach by permission of Southwold Town Council. Please email them in advance with details of date, location on beach, time, and number of guests. Please take any rubbish away after.
Southwold Common
Wide open space great for walking, kites, picnics, ball games, letting off steam. Please remember dogs must be under control at all times. Please clean up after your dog and take your rubbish away.
Crabbing
All you need is a bucket, a line and something smelly which a crab might find tasty. There are no seasons, you can 'crab' any time of the year, however good sense is required... please don't place too many crabs in your bucket, include some water, and return the crabs back where you found them.
