Q. Can you send me some brochures?
A. Unfortunately there is no longer an actual TIC in Southwold. The Southwold Tourist Information website is only an online presence and at this time does not hold stocks of leaflets. Instead leaflets may be available in some local shops and businesses.
The Southwold Tourist Information website has a selection of pages for all sorts of information for Southwold and the local area including Accommodation, Eating Out, Things To Do, Local Events and much more!

Q. Are dogs allowed on Southwold beach?
A. There are no restrictions between 1 October - 31 March. However, dogs are banned between 1 April - 30 September from a point adjacent to the northernmost extremity of the promenade (at the northern end of the beach huts) to a point adjacent to the southernmost extremity of the promenade (Gun Hill Café). Past these points dogs are welcome. Please see the Doggy Guide for further information.

A. Unfortunately there is no longer an actual TIC in Southwold for items to be handed in, however it might be worth contacting any shop/pub/business etc near where you think you might have lost your item in case someone has picked it up and handed it in to a local business.

A. The Southwold Tourist Information website does not offer a 'Book-A-Bed' service, however a good selection of accommodation can be found for Southwold and the local area. Contact details are listed for all accommodation providers.

A. There are no specifically designated areas for barbecues on the beach. As stated in the bylaws for Southwold beach: 'No person shall on the seashore light a fire; or place, throw or drop a lighted match or any other thing likely to cause a fire.'

Q. Which shops are open on Sundays / Bank Holidays?
A. Many (but not all) shops do open on Sundays and Bank Holidays during the summer season. However you would need to contact individual shops for their specific opening times especially during the winter season. Please see the Southwold Shopping page.
