A1095 Queen Street and Queens Road, Southwold – Kerbing Works – June / July 2019
Highways will be carrying out kerbing works along Queen Street and Queens Road, Southwold. The work involves the installation of granite kerbs to 7 corners around the green.
The work is planned to start on the 24 June 2019 and will continue for up to 2 weeks. Work on site will be carried out weekdays from around 7am until 4.30pm each day. The times and dates of works may change depending on the weather conditions. If they do change, Highways will update the information signs on site.
While the works are in progress the roads below will be closed for 24 hours continuously:
A1095 Queen Street, Southwold – from Lorne Lane to Queens Road
A1095 Queens Road, Southwold – from Constitution Hill to Queen Street
Access to properties and businesses will be available but controlled by staff on site. Please speak to a member of staff who will provide access as soon as it is safe to do so.
During the period of the closure, traffic will be diverted via: Gardener Road, Lorne Road and vice versa.
On street parking will be restricted to allow the works to be carried out unobstructed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
These temporary traffic management measures are required to allow the works to be carried out safely and in accordance with current Health and Safety guidelines.
